	International Award for Excellence in Business Management The International Awards for Excellence in Business Management We have signed an agreement with the Rector of the Moscow Academy of State and Municipal Management to launch the "International Awards for Excellence in Business". MAGMU have been presenting medals to Russian companies for over 8 years in collaboration with la Société d'Encouragement pour l'Industrie Nationale in Paris. Now they are ready for an expansion of this idea to the UK, with an even greater emphasis on recognising Russian companies' business achievements. Advent UK Ltd is delighted to spearhead this award scheme, which we believe will assist Russian companies to understand the British way of doing business and to "go global". The Awards will be by merit only, and will take the form of trophies and framed Certificates which will be presented in London at the Award Ceremony at the Institute of Directors on 1st November 2006. Background Over the past few years, all companies and individuals involved in Russian business have seen enormous progress in the Russian business environment. Best business practices, corporate governance, compliance, transparency, and Western accountancy standards have become part of the Russian lexicon. At the same time, we have noticed a strong interest by Russian medium sized companies in creating a footprint in the West, particularly in London, as a first step to approaching Western financial institutions or "business partners" to assist with their expansion, development, M & A or AIM projects. The participating Russian Companies The companies selected will be the companies amongst the medium sized companies throughout Russia who have made a marked contribution to the Russian economy during the fiscal year. The sectors will include all industries; mechanical engineering, mining, chemical, energy, metals, construction, forestry, agriculture, foodstuffs, telecommunications, transport, retail, finance and services. We also have candidates from the FSU countries with the same profile who have been selected. Memo : Advent UK is a company specialized in the management and piloting of international projects. Prix pour l'excellence en management Le 1er novembre 2006, ADVENT UK organise à Londres le "Prix pour l'Excellence en Management" à l'Institue of Directors (IOD). Ce prix récompensera des entreprises de taille moyenne Russes et des pays de la CEI pour leur croissance local et leur bon management . L'attribution du prix d'excellence est le résultat du travail de sélection d'un jury international composé des institutions suivantes, chargées d'évaluer et de noter les candidatures : le Moscow Academy of the State and Municipal Management (MAGMU) qui est affilié au Russian State Academy of the Civil Service (RSACS), la Société d'Encouragement pour l'Industrie Nationale (Paris, France) EMA Invest et ISCI consultants S.A.
